# Fix and Fix all — correcting issues automatically

Many of the issues the **Analyze** panel finds can be corrected automatically
instead of by hand. These live under the **Fixes** (Korrekturen) category,
alongside the other check categories (Send-ready, Data quality, Duplicates,
Completeness and so on).

## Where to find Fixes

Open **Analyze** in the list header, then switch to **Fixes** in the
category menu, or click the "n fixes" link above the checks. Click **Fix**
next to a check to correct every row it affects. To run them all at once,
click **Open as dialog** in the Analyze panel header; **Fix all** exists only
there. It appears at the top of Fixes and runs the checks one
after another, with a progress count. Fix all skips normalization checks
(for example gender, address or inconsistent spellings) — their Fix opens a
review window where you approve the proposed values, so run those one at a
time.

## What gets fixed

Fixes only cover checks that have an automatic correction — most
issues that need judgment (a wrong company name, an implausible job title)
still need a manual edit or enrichment, not a Fix button. What Fixes
does cover:

- **Formatting corrections** — trimming extra spaces, fixing capitalization,
removing emoji or invisible characters, stripping title prefixes like
"Dr." from a name field, and similar text cleanup in names, companies and
  job titles.
- **Typo and format corrections** — for example fixing common email typos
  or misplaced dots.
- **Empty Row** — rows with no data in any column (a row holding only
enrichment data does not count) are marked ignored (you can
restore them via the **Ignored** chip in the status bar).
- **Duplicate merges** — see "[Finding and merging duplicates](https://listplus.ai/en/help/check-and-clean/duplicates)" for exactly
what a duplicate Fix does; **Fix all also runs the duplicate merges**, so
if you want to review duplicate groups first, fix the duplicate checks one
at a time instead of using Fix all.
- **Normalizing values** — unifying different spellings of the same value
(gender, address fields, inconsistent values) after you review them.

Not every check has a Fix button — checks that flag something for you to
judge (like "Similar Name + Company") show no Fix, only a count of affected
rows to select and review.

## Suggestions you apply

Formatting and typo fixes arrive as highlighted suggestions: the list header
shows **N suggestions** with **Apply · N** and **Discard**, and nothing is
written until you click Apply. Ignoring rows (empty rows, and the extra rows
of a duplicate merge) and the field values a duplicate merge copies onto the
surviving row are saved automatically — see "[Finding and merging
duplicates](https://listplus.ai/en/help/check-and-clean/duplicates)" for that detail.

## Undoing a fix

Before you apply, click **Discard** in the list header to drop every
suggested fix. After you've applied, click **Undo** or press ⌘Z / Ctrl+Z —
the whole Apply is one undo step, as long as you haven't switched lists or
reloaded the page. Rows
ignored by the Empty Row fix, and rows ignored by a duplicate merge, can be
brought back via the **Ignored** chip in the status bar (or
**Show Ignored Rows** from Commands ⌘K) — select them and click **Restore**.

## Cost

Fixes are free — no credits are charged for any correction in this
category.

## FAQ

### How do I fix issues quickly?

Open Analyze in the list header, choose Fixes in the category menu (or click the "n fixes" link), and click Fix next to any check that offers one — it corrects every affected row for free. To run them all, click Open as dialog and then Fix all.

### What does Fix all actually change?

Click Open as dialog in the Analyze panel header to reveal Fix all, which runs every eligible check in Fixes one after another: formatting cleanup (spacing, capitalization, emoji, prefixes), common typo fixes, marking empty rows as ignored, and merging duplicates. It skips checks that need manual review, including normalization checks and checks with no Fix button at all.

### Does Fix all merge my duplicates too?

Yes — Fix all also runs the duplicate-merge checks, marking the extra rows in each matching group as ignored. If you want to review duplicate groups before merging, fix the duplicate checks one at a time instead of using Fix all; see "[Finding and merging duplicates](https://listplus.ai/en/help/check-and-clean/duplicates)" for how a merge decides which row survives.

### Do I need to click Save after using Fix or Fix all?

There is no Save button, but formatting and typo corrections are suggestions at first — click Apply · N in the list header to write them to the list, or Discard to drop them. Ignoring rows (empty rows, and the extra rows of a duplicate merge) saves automatically in the background.

### Can I undo a fix?

Before applying, click Discard in the list header to drop every suggested fix; after applying, click Undo or press ⌘Z / Ctrl+Z (the whole Apply is one step, within the same session). Rows ignored by the Empty Row fix or a duplicate merge can be brought back via the Ignored chip in the status bar (or Show Ignored Rows in Commands), then select them and click Restore.

### Does Fix or Fix all cost credits?

No, Fixes are free on every plan.

### Why doesn't a check I see have a Fix button?

Some issues need human judgment rather than a rule-based correction — for example, near-duplicate names that might be two different people. Those checks show only an affected-row count so you can select and review them yourself, with no automatic Fix.
