Pick the sentence below that matches what you're trying to do. Each one gives
you the first few clicks, what it costs, and which help topic to read next for
the full picture. If none of these fit, "Which finder do I use?" compares
Person Search, Segment Search and AI Research side by side, and
"[Navigation and glossary](https://listplus.ai/en/help/getting-started/navigation-and-glossary)" explains every place in the app.

## I want to clean up or check a list I already have

Import the file on the **New List** page — drop it or click **Select File**
(CSV, Excel or JSON) — then open the list and click **Analyze** in the list
header. In the **Fixes** category, **Fix** next to a check corrects that issue
for free (or use **Tidy up** for a guided pass with preview); click **Apply**
in the list header afterwards to keep the corrections. Importing
costs credits; checks and fixes cost none — the optional **Include AI Analysis** setting (off by default) is marked in the app as using credits. Next: Quality checks overview. All prices are in "[Price list: what every action costs](https://listplus.ai/en/help/plans-credits-billing/price-list)".

## I want to find missing emails or phone numbers for my list

With the list open (select specific rows first if you only want those),
click **Enrich** in the list header, open the **Find Missing Email or Phone**
group, and pick **Find Email (by Name & Company)** or, for a phone number
too, **Find Email + Phone (by Name & Company)**. Finding an email this way
costs credits, depending on the provider, only charged when one
is actually found; Find Email + Phone costs more, the phone tier charged only when a phone is found. The price is shown before you start. Next: Find
a verified email (and Find phone and mobile).

## I want to find one specific person

Click **Find** in the left rail, then **Individual** in the switch at the top, to open **Person Search**, then type a name
and company, an email address or a LinkedIn URL and click **Search**. For a name, confirm which person you mean (ListPlus asks even
for a single match); an email address or LinkedIn URL skips that step. The
profile then loads automatically for a small amount of credits. Next: Person Search.

## I want to build a list of people by role, industry or company size

Click **Find** in the left rail, then **People** in the switch at the top, to open **Segment Search**, set filters
such as job title, seniority, industry, location or company size (or
describe your audience in a sentence to build the filters automatically),
then click **Search Contacts**. Each page of up to 25 results costs
credits, and revealing a verified email or mobile number for a specific
person is a separate, later step. Next: Segment Search (audience database).

## I want to find leads with signals no database has

Click **Find** in the left rail, then **AI Research** in the switch at the top, describe your
target group in a sentence (role, a visible signal, ideally industry or
region, best in English), and click **Start research**. You're billed for the
actual work the AI does rather than a fixed price per lead, and you need a small
minimum balance to start. Next: AI Research.

## I want to turn notes, signatures or invitations into contacts

Click **Flows** in the left rail, then **Inbox** in the left column, then paste text, attach a PDF, or forward
an email to your personal Inbox address for this workspace (Flows → **Email forwarding**, under Inbox in the left column; click
**Create address** the first time). Open the entry
and click **Recognize contacts**, review the suggested people, then click
**Add to list** or **Save**. Every recognition run costs credits,
with longer free text (an email body, a note, a forwarded PDF) adding the AI's actual token cost on top; a short line such as a signature costs just the base price. Next: Inbox.

## I want to send my finished contacts to my CRM, Google Sheet or email tool

Open the **⋯ menu at the far right of the list header** and choose **Export
Data** to go straight to the export wizard and pick a destination — an
instant download, or send to an app such as Google Sheets, Lemlist or HubSpot. For a quick file instead, the same **⋯** menu
also has **Export as Excel**, and the wizard is reachable via Commands (⌘K)
too. File downloads are free. Pushing a later change back to a connected
source is something you trigger yourself, with **Write to HubSpot** (or the
source's name) in the Changes panel; for records to go on by themselves,
set up a pipeline with automatic release. Next: Export overview (and Sync
overview for push-back details).

## I want to work on lists together with my team

Open the **workspace switcher** in the Home page header (or the workspace
row in your avatar menu) and choose **Members & invites**, then enter your
colleagues' email addresses and click **Invite**. Everyone who joins sees
the workspace's lists, Watchlist, Inbox, AI Research runs and
pipelines; members are free and spend the workspace owner's credits, so
only the owner needs a plan. Next: What is a workspace (and Invite
teammates to a workspace, Credits, plan and limits in a workspace).

## I want to give Claude or ChatGPT access to a list

Click **More** in the list header (the panel-switcher button) to open the
panels list, choose **Automation** under **More tools**, then in the
**Automations** panel click **+ Add** and choose **Add API Endpoint**. Copy
the URL and the **Copy AI instruction** text into Claude, or add the same URL
as an MCP connector — a standard several AI apps, including ChatGPT, use to
plug into outside tools. This is included on every plan, including Basic;
whatever actions the AI takes are billed at the same per-action credit rates
as doing them yourself in the app. Next: API connection overview.

## I want to enrich contacts from Outlook

Install the ListPlus add-in from Microsoft AppSource, then open an email and
open the add-in's sidebar to see the sender's job title, company details and
LinkedIn profile. A cached match is free; a new lookup uses credits from your
account and is written into an auto-created "Outlook Contacts" list. Next:
Outlook add-in.

## FAQ

### I want to clean my list — where do I start?

Import your file on the New List page (drop it or click Select File), open the list, and click Analyze in the list header to see every quality issue. In the Fixes category, Fix next to a check corrects the issue for free (or use Tidy up for a guided pass with preview) — click Apply in the list header afterwards to keep the corrections; checks and fixes are free (the optional Include AI Analysis setting, off by default, is marked as using credits).

### How do I find missing emails or phone numbers for my list?

With the list open, click Enrich in the list header, open the Find Missing Email or Phone group, and pick Find Email (by Name & Company) or Find Email + Phone (by Name & Company) — select rows first to enrich only those. Finding an email this way costs credits, only when one is actually found; Find Email + Phone costs more, with the phone tier charged only when a phone is found. The price is shown before you start (all prices: "[Price list: what every action costs](https://listplus.ai/en/help/plans-credits-billing/price-list)").

### How do I find one specific person?

Click Find in the left rail, then Individual in the switch at the top, to open Person Search, type a name and company, an email address or a LinkedIn URL, and click Search. For a name, confirm which person you mean (ListPlus asks even for a single match); an email address or LinkedIn URL loads the result directly. Loading the basic profile costs a small amount of credits.

### How do I build a lead list from scratch by role, industry or size?

Click Find in the left rail, then People in the switch at the top, to open Segment Search, set filters like job title, industry, location or company size (or describe your audience in a sentence to build them automatically), and click Search Contacts. Each page of up to 25 results costs credits; revealing a verified email or mobile number is a separate step.

### How do I find leads with signals no database has?

Click Find in the left rail, then AI Research in the switch at the top, describe your target group in a sentence — the role, a visible signal, and ideally industry or region — and click Start research. You pay for the actual work the AI does rather than a fixed price per lead, and you need a small minimum balance to start.

### How do I turn notes, signatures or meeting invitations into contacts?

Click Flows in the left rail, then Inbox in the left column, then paste text, attach a PDF, or forward an email to your personal Inbox address; open the entry and click Recognize contacts, review the suggested people, then click Add to list or Save. Every recognition run costs credits, and longer free text such as an email body or a note adds the AI's actual token cost on top (a short signature stays at the base price).

### How do I get my contacts into HubSpot, Google Sheets or Lemlist?

Open the ⋯ menu at the far right of the list header and choose Export Data to open the export wizard, then pick the app to send to, such as Google Sheets, Lemlist or HubSpot. Nothing keeps syncing on its own; you export again whenever you want the destination refreshed.

### How do I give Claude or ChatGPT access to my list?

Click More in the list header to open the panels list, choose Automation under More tools, then in the Automations panel click + Add and choose Add API Endpoint. Copy the URL plus the Copy AI instruction text into Claude, or add it in ChatGPT as an MCP connector (the standard AI apps use to plug into outside tools); this is included on every plan, and actions the AI takes are billed at the same rates as doing them yourself.

### How do I enrich contacts from Outlook?

Install the ListPlus add-in from Microsoft AppSource, open an email, and open the add-in's sidebar to see the sender's job title, company details and LinkedIn profile. A cached match is free; a new lookup uses credits from your account and lands in an auto-created "Outlook Contacts" list.
