# Help in the app: guides, video and AI help

Every main view has a round **?** button in the bottom-right corner (on a
phone: **?** in the menu). It opens the help for the view you are in: its
recorded guides, the questions people have there, and a field to ask the AI
help. Nothing opens by itself: ListPlus has no automatic tour, you ask for
help when you want it. On a computer the button flashes briefly once,
about six seconds after a view opens — once per view and browser session,
and never again in a view where you have opened the help.

## Where the button is

The button appears in Home, a list, New list, Person Search, Segment Search,
AI Research, Inbox, Watchlist, Pipelines and the Flows pages. In a list it sits just above
the status bar. Other pages have no help list and no button.

## What the card shows

Click the button and a card opens above it. It shows a headline for the
view, then the view's recorded guides with a counter such as "1 of 3
viewed" and a progress bar. A video is marked **Video** and with a play
icon; others show a guide length in minutes. On Home, **Watch the intro** at the
bottom of the card plays the short product video "[What is ListPlus?](https://listplus.ai/en/help/getting-started/what-is-listplus)".

Below the guides come the view's questions in groups — for example in a
list **Data quality** ("How do I find duplicates — even with different
spellings — and merge them?") and **Enrich & hand on**; **Step by step**
holds the tasks whose guide is not recorded yet. Each view has its own
questions. One group is open at a time; click a group's heading to open
it. Click a question and the AI help answers it in the same window. Under
the question field, the line **Prefer email? support@listplus.ai** opens a
mail to support directly. Press Esc or click the button again to close the
card.

## Opening a guide

Click an entry: the guide opens in a dialog on top of the page, with the
buttons **Open in its own window** and a close button. On a phone the guide
opens directly in a window of its own. Opening an entry ticks it as viewed,
and you can open a ticked entry again at any time.

A task whose guide is not recorded yet is not a guide entry: it stands
under **Step by step** as a question, and the AI help answers it from the
help articles.

## What is remembered

The ticks and the views where you hid the button are kept with your
account, so they are the same on every device. Without an account they are
kept in the browser only.

## Hide the button, bring it back

Click **Hide here** at the bottom of the card to remove the button from
that view only; other views keep theirs. To bring it back, open the search
(⌘K / Ctrl+K) and choose **Help**, or choose **Help** in the menu at your
avatar. That shows the view's card again with its button.

On a page that has no help list, **Help** opens the help window with the
cursor in the question field.

## Ask ListPlus: the AI help

Under the questions is a field titled **Ask ListPlus** ("AI help · knows
your plan and credits") with the placeholder "What would you like to
know?".
Asking opens the conversation in the same window (header **ListPlus Help**);
a line shows the active workspace's plan and credits, and **Guides** takes
you back to the list. **Contact support** at the bottom of the Home page and
**Help** in the search (⌘K / Ctrl+K) or the avatar menu open this window with
the cursor in the question field.

The answers come from an AI, not a person. It answers only from the help
articles and from your workspace's plan and credit balance. When you ask in
an open list, it also gets that list's counts — rows, which columns were
recognised and how many rows have a value in them, rows without an e-mail
that a lookup can still search, duplicate or invalid e-mail addresses — and
answers with your numbers ("140 of your 312 rows have …"). It never sees
the values in your list or its name. An answer can carry up to three
buttons that open the right place (for example **Import from HubSpot** or
**Open the Block list**), links to places inside its text, a link to a guide
and its source articles. If the help says nothing about a question, it says so ("The help
says nothing about this."); questions that are not about ListPlus are
declined. Button names are given in the language of your interface. Asking
costs no credits.

You can drag the window by its top area. It stays open when you go to another
page while a conversation is open, and the conversation is kept until you
close the browser tab. ListPlus keeps each question and its answer for 30
days to check and improve the answers — without your name, e-mail address
or user ID. There is a
daily limit of questions per person, and several questions in a row that are
not about ListPlus pause the help for a while.

If your workspace's owner switched off AI features, the AI help is off too.

## Reaching a person

Under an answer that found nothing, that concerns a topic for a person (an
invoice, lost data) or that ended in an error, **Send to support** lets you
add a line and click **Send**: the conversation, your workspace, plan and the
page you are on are e-mailed to support and you get a copy. Support answers
by e-mail, usually within one working day. You can also write to
support@listplus.ai yourself — the address is a link under the question
field of the help card (**Prefer email?**); **Copy conversation** copies the chat for your
mail. See "[How do I contact support?](https://listplus.ai/en/help/troubleshooting/contact-support)" for what to include.

On the ListPlus website, the button **Questions about ListPlus?** at the
bottom right of the website's pages (only a small round button on blog
posts, none on the legal pages) opens the same AI help for visitors
without an account.

### How do I ask a question from the app?

Type it into the "Ask ListPlus" field under the guides in the help window, or click one of the view's questions. An AI answers from the help articles and your workspace's plan and credits, free of charge. If it cannot help, click "Send to support" under its answer; support replies by e-mail.

### Is the AI help a person?

No. It is an AI that answers only from the ListPlus help articles and your workspace's plan and credits, and it does not see the contents of your lists. A person answers only by e-mail, via "Send to support" or support@listplus.ai.

### Does the conversation stay when I change page?

Yes, while a conversation is open the window stays open on other pages. In your browser it is kept until you close the tab; ListPlus keeps each question and answer for 30 days, without your name or user ID, to improve the answers.
