# Automatic credit refunds

ListPlus automatically credits you back in a few narrow cases where you were
charged but got nothing usable in return. For money you paid — a subscription
or a credit pack — there's no automated refund; you ask us or Link support.

## When credits are refunded automatically

**Inbox recognition, discarded.** Recognizing an Inbox (Eingang) entry
always costs at least 0.5 credits, more for free text, a forwarded e-mail or
a PDF (see "[The Inbox](https://listplus.ai/en/help/inbox-and-saved/inbox)"). If you delete the entry or edit its text while that
run is still in progress, the result is thrown away, and any credits that
run spent are refunded automatically.

**Email verification in a research handed to your own AI assistant.** When
you run a research through your own AI assistant (such as Claude or
ChatGPT) via its private URL, verifying an email it found is charged before
the check runs. If the check then fails, that charge is refunded
automatically, both from the run's spend and from your balance. Research
run by ListPlus's own agent works differently: stopping a run, or a run
that stops because your balance ran out, keeps its matches, and the
credits already spent aren't refunded.

**A LinkedIn import that never started.** A LinkedIn import takes its base
fee when you start it. If the import could not be started at all, or you
cancelled it before it started, the base fee comes back. If ListPlus fails
to write the people it delivered into your list, what they cost is refunded
too.

**A file import over the record limit.** If an import is refused because it
would take the workspace past its plan's record limit, no list is created
and the import's credits come back.

**A live LinkedIn search that did not run.** A live LinkedIn search is paid
when it starts; if the search could not run, it is refunded.

These refunds post as a **Refund** transaction in Settings → Credits & usage (see
"[Where did my credits go?](https://listplus.ai/en/help/plans-credits-billing/where-did-my-credits-go)"), usually within moments of the failure.

## What doesn't need a refund

Most enrichment lookups (finding an email, phone number or company by
Prospeo, FullEnrich, CompanyEnrich and similar) are only charged when they
find something — a miss simply isn't billed in the first place, so there's
nothing to refund. The price list marks which actions work this way. AI
commands and AI replies are billed for the work done regardless of whether
you liked or used the answer, and aren't refunded.

## Refunds for money you paid

Subscriptions and credit packs are sold through Stripe Managed Payments:
the name on your invoice is Sold Through Link, LLC, a Stripe company that
handles the sale for us as merchant of record, and refunds are
paid out through Link. There's no self-service refund button in ListPlus.
For a subscription cancelled partway through a paid month, see "[Cancel,
downgrade and leave](https://listplus.ai/en/help/plans-credits-billing/cancel-downgrade-leave)". For an unused credit pack, credits never expire, so
there's normally nothing to refund. For a specific concern, email
support@listplus.ai with your account email and the purchase date, or ask
Link support at support.link.com, which handles payment and refund
requests for purchases sold through Link and may decide on a refund within
60 days of the purchase. A refund includes the VAT you paid, and Link emails
you a refund notice.

## FAQ

### Do I get credits back if a paid action fails?

Yes, in a few automatic cases: an Inbox recognition discarded because you deleted or edited the entry, a failed email verification in a research run through your own AI assistant, a LinkedIn import that could not start (its base fee), a file import refused by the record limit, and a live LinkedIn search that did not run. They show up as a Refund transaction in Settings → Credits & usage.

### When is an Inbox recognition charge refunded?

If you delete an Inbox entry or edit its text while recognition is still running on it, that run's result is thrown away and any credits it spent are refunded automatically. You don't need to ask.

### When is an AI Research charge refunded?

When you run a research through your own AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) via its private URL, verifying an email it found is charged before the check runs, and refunded automatically, both from the run's spend and your balance, if that check fails. A research run by ListPlus's own agent works differently: stopping it, or it stopping because your balance ran out, keeps its matches without refunding the credits already spent.

### Do I get a refund if a lookup doesn't find anything?

Usually there's nothing to refund: most enrichment lookups (email, phone, company data) are only charged when they actually find a result, so a miss was never billed. The price list shows which actions are charged only on a hit versus on every attempt.

### Can I get a refund for an AI command or reply I didn't want?

No. AI commands and AI chat replies are billed for the work done as soon as they run, whether or not the result was useful to you, and aren't refunded.

### Can I get a refund for an unused credit pack?

There's no refund button for credit packs in the app. Credits never expire, so unused ones stay on your balance until you use them. To ask about a specific purchase, email support@listplus.ai with your account email and the purchase date, or contact Link support at support.link.com.

### How do I ask about a refund for my subscription or a credit purchase?

Email support@listplus.ai with your account email and the date of the charge, or contact Link support at support.link.com — Sold Through Link, LLC is the name on your invoice and pays refunds out. For money back after cancelling partway through a month, see "[Cancel, downgrade and leave](https://listplus.ai/en/help/plans-credits-billing/cancel-downgrade-leave)".
