AI command examples (English & German)

Updated Markdown

These are real, working examples for the Prompts panel (More → Prompts in the list header, then type into Ask about your data...) — see "AI commands in the Prompts panel" for how the panel works and what it costs. ListPlus understands both English and German phrasings; a German column name works the same way as an English one.

Selecting rows by email quality#

EnglishGerman
select valid emailswähle gültige E-Mails
select invalid emailswähle ungültige E-Mails
find disposable emailsfinde Wegwerf-E-Mails
select personal emailswähle persönliche E-Mails
select non-personal emails (role-based, like info@ or admin@)wähle nicht-persönliche E-Mails

Selecting by a value or a concept#

EnglishGerman
select all from Germanywähle alle aus Deutschland
select where country = France and city = Pariswähle wo Land = Frankreich und Stadt = Paris
select decision makerswähle Entscheider
select technical roleswähle technische Rollen

"Select decision makers" is understood as a concept, not a literal text match — it also catches "Geschäftsführer" or "Directeur" in a job title column, not just the English word.

Finding duplicates#

EnglishGerman
find fuzzy duplicates in namefinde unscharfe Duplikate im Namen
find duplicate phone numbersfinde doppelte Telefonnummern
find names similar to John Smithfinde Namen ähnlich wie John Smith

Tagging#

EnglishGerman
mark decision makers as key-contactmarkiere Entscheider als key-contact
tag invalid emails as needs-reviewmarkiere ungültige E-Mails als needs-review
tag selected as Prioritymarkiere die Auswahl als Priority

The AI can't add rows to a sublist or remove them — a sublist is a saved rule you create under More → Sublists. If you type "add selected to sublist 'Priority'", the AI tags those rows "Priority" instead. A sublist with the rule Tags is one of "Priority" then shows them.

Setting a status#

These work when the list has statuses (here: one called "Qualified"). The AI only uses statuses the list already has.

EnglishGerman
set status of selected to Qualifiedsetze den Status der Auswahl auf Qualified
mark everyone from Germany as Qualifiedsetze den Status aller aus Deutschland auf Qualified
remove the status of the selected recordsentferne den Status der ausgewählten Datensätze

Handing records to a pipeline#

These work when your workspace has pipelines (here: one called "HubSpot"). The pipeline's data check and release mode apply as usual.

EnglishGerman
send selected to HubSpotübergib die Auswahl an HubSpot
hand everyone from Germany to HubSpotschicke alle aus Deutschland an HubSpot
push decision makers to the pipeline HubSpotübergib Entscheider an die Pipeline HubSpot

Cleaning and normalizing values#

EnglishGerman
normalize country namesnormalisiere Ländernamen
unify status valuesvereinheitliche die Status-Werte
clean up city spellingsbereinige Schreibweisen der Stadt

Normalizing shows you the proposed groupings first — for example every spelling of "USA" it found — and only applies them once you approve, so it never silently rewrites a column.

Asking questions#

EnglishGerman
how many contacts are from Germany?wie viele Kontakte sind aus Deutschland?
what countries are there?welche Länder gibt es?
show statistics by countryzeige Statistik nach Land

These are read-only — they answer in the chat without changing any row.

FAQ#

What are some example AI commands I can type to select rows?#

"Select personal emails," "select invalid emails," "select all from Germany," and "select decision makers" all work — the last one matches the concept of a decision-maker job title, not just the literal words.

How do I select emails by quality with an AI command?#

Type "select valid emails," "select invalid emails," "find disposable emails," "select personal emails," or "select non-personal emails" — each maps to one of ListPlus's built-in email checks.

How do I find duplicate rows with an AI command?#

Try "find fuzzy duplicates in name" for similar spellings, "find duplicate phone numbers" for matching numbers regardless of formatting, or "find names similar to John Smith" to match against one specific name.

How do I tag rows with an AI command, and can it add rows to a sublist?#

"Mark decision makers as key-contact" or "tag selected as Priority" tags the matching or selected rows. The AI can't add rows to a sublist or remove them: a sublist is a saved rule. "Add selected to sublist 'Priority'" is turned into the tag "Priority"; create a sublist with the rule "Tags is one of Priority" under More → Sublists to see those rows as a group.

Can I send records to a pipeline with an AI command?#

Yes: "send selected to HubSpot" or "hand everyone from Germany to the pipeline Outreach" adds those rows to that pipeline, just like Add to → pipeline, and its data check and release mode apply. A dialog "Run this action?" appears first and nothing happens until you confirm; the AI only uses pipelines that exist and never hands over the whole list unless you say "all".

Can I set a record's status with an AI command?#

Yes: "set status of selected to Qualified" or "mark everyone from Germany as Qualified" sets one of the list's statuses after you confirm the "Run this action?" dialog, and "remove the status of the selected records" clears it. The AI only uses statuses the list already has and names them if yours doesn't exist. A name that isn't a status ("mark selected as VIP") becomes a tag, and "tag selected as Qualified" always tags.

How do I clean up inconsistent values with an AI command?#

"Normalize country names" or "unify status values" groups the different spellings it finds in that column and shows you the proposed groups to approve before anything changes.

Can I ask questions about my list instead of giving a command?#

Yes — "how many contacts are from Germany?", "what countries are there?" and "show statistics by country" are answered directly in the chat, without changing your data.

Do these commands work in German too?#

Yes — ListPlus understands German phrasings like "wähle Entscheider" or "normalisiere Ländernamen" the same way it understands the English versions in this article.

Where do I type these commands?#

In the Prompts panel: open More → Prompts in the list header and type into the Ask about your data... field.
