Selecting rows and the selection bar
Selecting rows#
Tick the checkbox at the left of each row you want — clicking anywhere else on the row opens or edits a cell instead of selecting it. Tick the checkbox in the column header to select every row that matches the current filter, search or sublist, including rows further down that you haven't scrolled to — not necessarily your whole list.
The selection bar#
As soon as one or more rows are selected, a selection bar appears above the grid: a count of selected rows, Status, Tag, an Add menu, Find, Enrich, already showing how many rows it would enrich, and a ⋯ menu (Ignore selected records, Restore, and Delete if you're allowed to delete rows on this list). Click the × next to the count to clear the selection. On the sample list, which you can only view, Status, Tag, Enrich and the ⋯ menu are not shown, and Add offers only Add to list.
- Status — set or remove one of the list's statuses for every selected row (owners and admins can also create one). See "Record statuses and the working view (Open / All)".
- Tag — type a new tag and press Enter, or click one of your list's existing tags to apply it to every selected row.
- Add — where the selection can go:
- Add to list — copy the selected contacts into another list.
- Send to pipeline — put the selected rows into one of your workspace's pipelines as waiting entries; nothing is sent until someone releases them in the pipeline. See "Pipelines — send records on to your CRM, Slack, e-mail or API".
- Find — look for contacts at the selected companies (from the database or over LinkedIn) or for similar companies; these searches cost credits.
- Enrich — see which-enrich-button for how to pick the right lookup.
There is no "add to sublist" here: a sublist is a saved rule, not a set of hand-picked rows. To collect your selection, click Tag and make a sublist with the rule Tags is one of that tag — see "Sublists (segments) and tags".
When an evaluation is active#
If a campaign-ready evaluation such as Cold Email is active, the selection bar is replaced by the evaluation bar (see campaign-ready-evaluations): Tag, Add and the ⋯ menu aren't available there, only an Enrich button scoped to your selected, still-enrichable rows. Choose No evaluation in Find & evaluate to get the regular selection bar back.

FAQ#
How do I select rows in a list?#
Tick the checkbox at the left of each row you want — clicking anywhere else on the row opens or edits a cell instead of selecting it. Tick the checkbox in the column header to select every row that matches the current filter, search or sublist, including rows further down that you haven't scrolled to.
Does "select all" select my whole list or just what's on screen?#
It selects every row that matches the current filter, search or sublist, including rows further down that you haven't scrolled to — not your whole list unless nothing is filtering it. Clear the filter first if you want every row in the list selected.
What appears when I select rows?#
A selection bar appears above the grid showing how many rows are selected, with Status, Tag, an Add menu (to another list or to a pipeline), Find (contacts at, or companies similar to, the selected companies), an Enrich button that already shows how many rows it would enrich, and a ⋯ menu (Ignore selected records, Restore or Delete, if you're allowed to delete on this list). Click the × next to the count to clear your selection.
How do I tag selected rows?#
Click Tag in the selection bar, then either type a new tag and press Enter, or click one of your list's existing tags to apply it. It's applied to every row you currently have selected.
How do I add selected rows to a sublist?#
Tag them — a sublist is a saved rule, so rows can't be added to it by hand. Click Tag in the selection bar and give the rows a tag (for example "Priority"), then open More → Sublists, click New and create a sublist with the rule "Tags is one of Priority", and every row with that tag shows up in it.
How do I enrich just a few rows instead of the whole list?#
Tick the checkboxes next to the rows you want and click Enrich in the selection bar — this only enriches the rows you selected. You see the maximum possible cost before confirming; most lookups charge only when they find something, with a few exceptions listed in "Find a verified email address".
Why does my selection bar look different or show different buttons?#
If a campaign-ready evaluation like Cold Email is active, the selection bar is replaced by the evaluation bar — Tag, Add and the ⋯ menu aren't available there, only an Enrich button scoped to your selected, still-enrichable rows. Choose No evaluation in Find & evaluate to get the regular selection bar back.
How do I send selected rows to a pipeline?#
Select the rows, click Add in the selection bar, then Send to pipeline and pick the pipeline. The rows wait there as entries until someone clicks Send in the pipeline (or go out by themselves if the pipeline's Release is set to Automatic), adding them is free; each record the pipeline delivers costs credits at the target's rate (see the price list). See "Pipelines — send records on to your CRM, Slack, e-mail or API" for how pipelines work.
Can I ignore or delete several rows at once from a selection?#
Yes — select the rows, open the ⋯ menu in the selection bar, and choose Ignore selected records (or Restore, if you're viewing ignored rows) or Delete, if you have permission to delete on that list. See "Ignoring vs. deleting rows" for what ignoring rows does and how to restore them.
