Cancel, downgrade and leave
Cancelling, downgrading and leaving are separate questions. This article covers what actually happens to your plan, your credits, your lists and your data — see "Plans and pricing" for how subscribing and switching plans works day to day.
Cancel your subscription#
Open Settings → Plan & billing and click Cancel subscription; this opens Stripe's confirmation for exactly that. You normally keep full access to everything your plan includes until the end of the billing period you already paid for, and the plan row then shows "Ends on {date} — then Basic." After that date your account moves to Basic automatically — nothing is deleted in the process. Changed your mind before then? The same section shows a Keep my plan button that undoes the pending cancellation.
Because ListPlus sells through Stripe Managed Payments, you can also see and cancel your subscription at link.com — Sold Through Link, LLC, a Stripe company, handles the sale for us as merchant of record and is the name on your invoice.
Switching between Pro and Premium, or monthly and yearly#
Use Change plan in Settings → Plan & billing, or Switch to {plan} / Switch to yearly / Switch to monthly on Plans & Billing, to move between Pro and Premium or between monthly and yearly billing — see "Plans and pricing" for the full walkthrough. Either opens Stripe's confirmation page showing the prorated amount; the change applies immediately and the difference is invoiced right away.
Downgrading to Basic — what changes#
Once you're on Basic, you can edit up to 5,000 records across all lists (and hold up to 25,000), credits cost €0.05/$0.06 instead of €0.03/$0.035, you can no longer use connected tools (a move to Pro keeps Pro's tools but not HubSpot or the other Premium sources). Your connected accounts stay connected but are not used until your plan covers them again.
Reference lists (a Premium feature) you already set up keep working after a downgrade from Premium — badges, pipeline and trigger conditions and the Block role stay active, so "not an existing customer" never quietly lets customers through. You just can't turn another list into a reference list until you're on Premium again.
If you own workspaces with members#
Your plan applies to every workspace you own, so cancelling or downgrading changes them all: the record limit counts all their lists together (above it, all of them become read-only), and the connected tools your new plan doesn't include can't be used by any member there. Members don't need a plan of their own, so let them know before you downgrade. To hand a team over to someone else instead, transfer the workspace to them (see "Leave, remove, transfer or delete a workspace").
Leaving a workspace someone else owns is not the same as cancelling: it only ends your access to that workspace and doesn't touch your own plan, credits or workspaces.
Your credits after cancelling#
Your credit balance is untouched by cancelling or downgrading — credits are separate from your plan, never expire, and stay exactly as they were, so you can keep using them for lookups and AI on Basic. See "How credits work" for the full picture.
Lists above your new record limit#
Nothing is deleted, hidden or resized. If your workspaces hold more records than Basic edits (5,000), your lists become read-only: you can still view, filter, sort, analyse and export every row and delete whole lists, but editing cells, adding or deleting rows, statuses, tags, enrichment, AI columns, pipelines, triggers and automatic refresh pause. Each list shows a banner with an Upgrade to edit button. Upgrade again, or delete lists until you're at 5,000 or fewer, and editing comes back. See "Record limit" for the details.
Take your data with you before you leave#
Every list can be exported on every plan, for free, any time. Open the list and use the ⋯ button at the top right: Export Data opens the export wizard, where you pick columns and a format such as Excel, CSV or JSON (the same wizard opens from Export Wizard in the ⌘K command palette). To export just your current selection or the filtered/visible rows instead of the whole list, use Export Selected Records or Export Visible Records in the same menu; Export as Excel there is a one-click shortcut straight to a file, no wizard needed. The Watchlist has no export button of its own — select what you want and use Add to list first, then export that list. Anything sitting in Inbox that you haven't saved or added to a list is temporary and is deleted after 14 days, so save or add-to-list what you want to keep.
Closing your account#
The Delete account button in Settings → Profile & sign-in deletes your account and your data together, immediately and irreversibly: every workspace you own (with all its lists, Watchlist, Inbox, research runs and pipelines), your membership in any workspace you don't own, your profile and the accounts you connected, and any remaining credits (they aren't refunded). An active subscription is cancelled right away, so nothing more is charged; your invoices stay at Stripe and Link for legal record-keeping. Export anything you want to keep first, and if colleagues work in a workspace you own, transfer it to one of them before you delete your account, since that workspace is deleted along with everything in it. For how to delete an individual list, saved contact or Inbox entry without deleting your whole account, see "Deleting lists, contacts, and your account".
Refunds#
Cancelling itself never costs anything and normally keeps your access until the date you already paid through. For a refund question — for example cancelling partway through a paid month — email support@listplus.ai with your account email and the date, and support will get back to you. You can also ask Link support at support.link.com: Link is the name on your invoice, pays refunds out and may decide on a refund within 60 days of the purchase.
For advanced users#
Downgrading doesn't touch any list data by itself — only your plan and subscription details change automatically; nothing is deleted, hidden, truncated or resized. If the total is above what the new plan edits, the lists become read-only until you upgrade or delete lists.

FAQ#
How do I cancel my ListPlus subscription?#
Open Settings → Plan & billing and click Cancel subscription — this opens Stripe's confirmation, where you confirm. You normally keep full access to your plan until the date shown there, then your account moves to Basic automatically; Keep my plan undoes a pending cancellation.
When does my plan actually end after I cancel?#
Normally at the end of your current billing period — once you've cancelled, Settings → Plan & billing shows "Ends on {date} — then Basic" with the exact date. Until that date you keep your full record limit and integrations; after it, your account moves to Basic on its own.
Do I lose my credits if I cancel my subscription?#
No. Credits are separate from your plan and never expire, so cancelling or downgrading to Basic doesn't touch your balance — you keep using it for lookups and AI on Basic exactly as before.
What happens to my lists if I have more records than Basic allows?#
Nothing is deleted. If you hold more than 5,000 records, your lists become read-only: you can still view, filter, analyse and export every row and delete whole lists, but editing, enrichment and automations pause until you upgrade again or delete lists to get back to 5,000 or fewer.
Can I reactivate after cancelling?#
Yes — once your plan has reverted to Basic, subscribe to Pro or Premium again the normal way from Plans & Billing. The one-time credit bonus for that plan was already granted the first time you subscribed to it, so it won't be granted a second time.
Do I get money back if I cancel partway through the month?#
There's no automatic refund for the unused part of a billing period, and cancelling normally keeps your access until the date already paid for. If you still want to ask about a refund, email support@listplus.ai with your account email and the date, or ask Link support at support.link.com — Sold Through Link, LLC is the name on your invoice.
How do I export everything before I leave?#
Open a list and use the ⋯ button at the top right — Export Data opens the export wizard (also reachable as Export Wizard in the ⌘K command palette), where you choose columns and a format like Excel, CSV or JSON. To export just your current selection or the filtered/visible rows instead of the whole list, use Export Selected Records or Export Visible Records in the same menu; Export as Excel there is a one-click shortcut. Exporting is free on every plan — repeat this for each list you want to keep.
Can I export the contacts on my watchlist directly?#
Not directly — the Watchlist has no export button of its own. Select the ones you want and use Add to list to move them into a list first, then export that list the normal way.
How do I delete my account and data?#
Use the Delete account button in Settings → Profile & sign-in — it deletes your account and all your data together immediately, with no undo, including every workspace you own and your remaining credits. Export anything you want to keep first, and transfer ownership of any shared workspace before you delete your account; for deleting single lists or contacts without closing your account, see "Deleting lists, contacts, and your account".
What happens if my payment fails?#
While Stripe is still retrying a failed payment your plan stays active; if the subscription becomes unpaid after the retries, your account moves to Basic automatically, the same way it does after a normal cancellation. Update your payment method under Settings → Plan & billing → Payment method before that happens to keep your plan active.
Will my connected HubSpot, Google Sheets etc. keep working if I downgrade to Basic?#
No — the accounts stay connected, but a pipeline send, sync, reload or export answers that a higher plan is needed ("Connected systems need the Pro plan…" or "…the Premium plan…"), and an automatic refresh shows "The workspace's plan no longer includes this source…" and skips its runs until the plan covers the source again — this does not count as a failure. Basic uses no connected tool at all; HubSpot and imports from Salesforce, Pipedrive, Attio, Notion and Stripe need Premium, the rest Pro.
Does cancelling my plan affect my team?#
Yes, if your team works in a workspace you own: your plan applies there, so the record limit and integrations change for every member too. Members' own plans and credits are not touched. To hand the team over, transfer the workspace to a member first.
Is leaving a workspace the same as cancelling?#
No. Leaving a workspace (Settings → General → Leave, for non-owners) only ends your access to that one workspace. Your own plan, credits and the workspaces you own stay as they are.
